HDB X PSS Photography Competition

The Photographic Society of Singapore (PSS), is pleased to announce a collaboration with HDB to organize a photography competition celebrating SG60 and the vibrant stories of Singapore’s heartlands.

The proposed theme of the competition is:
A Heartland Story: I Love My Home & Community”.

Goals of the Competition
Through this competition, we seek to capture moments of heartland living which serves to root and inspire residents so that they feel proud to be living in Singapore. We want Singaporeans to contribute through their photography lens, how they connect with one another in their community, how their neighbourly interactions have endeared them to their estates and towns.

Objective of the Competition
The objectives for the photo competition are to:

  1. Strengthen the identity and bring out the distinctive character, liveliness and vibrancy of HDB towns, creating a sense of attachment to our homes and community;
  2. Feature endearing stories that highlight the strong ties between families, friends and neighbours in the heartlands, fostering a sense of inclusivity and community bonding among residents in the heartlands;
  3. Preserve heartland/community memories, creating a sense of belonging to the community; and
  4. Showcase the beauty of the living environment in the heartlands.
