The Odysseys
An exhibition on China's exotic landscapes of Inner Mongolia and Zhang Jia Jie

An exhibition on Chinese landscape painting ? Not quite. But the pictures on display do look as if they carry with them, the techniques and brushstrokes of distinguished Chinese painters. This exhibition on landscape photography on China's two scenic places showcase photography skills under very different and extreme weather conditions; harsh winter winds at - 25°C in Inner Mongolia and scorching heat in Zhang Jia Jie. The photographers entered terrains and places that were previously unexplored, even by local photographers of the country. Also included are pictures on Phoenix Town (a 1,300 year old town) and the Jinshanling Great Wall.

Harmony of Minds Launched on 2 to 14 August 2007, HDB Hub, Toa Payoh.
As Singaporeans, we are exposed to different faiths from a very early age. We grow up with friends and neighbors of different religions, enjoy religious holidays and very often celebrate religious festivals even though they may not be our own, This is a fascinating aspect of our country we cherish, not just as Singaporeans but as citizens of the world.

Published by The Photographic Society of Singapore (PSS), the "Harmony of Minds" highlights selected sayings of 10 main faiths practised in Singapore. These are the Baha'i faith, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Jainism, Judaism, Sikhism, Taoism and the Zoroastrian faith. Each selected code was illustrated by a photograph captured by member of PSS. A photographic exhibition was held inconjunction with the book launched by the President of Singapore, S R Nathan.

During the launching ceremony, President Nathan presented 10 special editions with his autograph to the company that bought it at S10,000

The book is now available at major book stalls and PSS, it will be sold at $50. All the proceed will be donated to The President Challenge
