BREAST CANCER AWARENESS CAMPAIGN 2010 (Closed)

In support of The BCA (Breast Cancer Awareness) Campaign’s Global Landmark Illumination Initiative, Estée Lauder Companies Singapore will illuminate ION Orchard on Friday, 1 October 2010, at 8pm as part of the global initiative where over 200 landmarks from around the world will be illuminated in Pink for the month of October.

Opened in 2009, ION Orchard has become the "centre of gravity" in the retail scene in Singapore, with spectacular frontage and cutting edge designs and concepts. The mall’s integrated media façade also transforms into one of the largest LED media walls in Asia and will be lit-up entirely in pink for a week from 1 October 2010.

By illuminating this iconic landmark in the heart of the shopping district, Estée Lauder Companies Singapore hopes to bring optimism and inspiration to all breast cancer survivors in Singapore, as well as creating the symbol of awareness for this sickness, highlighting the importance of early detection and prevention.

We believe that wonderful moments should be captured and preserved: In partnership with The Photographic Society of Singapore, we are pleased to announce our first ever Photography Competition of Illumination Night for Breast Cancer Awareness, opened to all photographers from all walks of life. Winners of the competition will stand to win attractive prizes worth SGD $9,000.00 and showcase your work on our global website for BCA.

Participants must send in photo entries that represent or capture the uniqueness of the 
ION ORCHARD building illuminated in PINK from 8.00 pm, 1 Oct (Friday) to 7 Oct (Thursday) 2010.
